Antique Store Find!

When Paul and I were in Tahoe we stopped at an antique shop and I found this 1950's bassinette. I knew my little granddaughters would love playing with it. Emily promptly got into the little bed and Aiden made her cozy and she didn't want to get out. She is very feminine and a real doll lover. I hear she takes her doll to preschool and leaves it sleeping in her cubby while she's at preschool. What a cutie. Anyway, this baby bed will get lots of use.

Grandma Capes

Michael told me Aiden was having fun playing with capes (one of Emily's little aprons for a cape) and wondered if Grandma would make a new cape for him... what fun to have a project! When they came over there were two little colorful capes, one with lizards and one with princess crowns... they attached the little capes and were having fun with the "secret pocket" on the inside of each cape... there is NOTHING better than being given a sewing assignment by your son to make his two darling children play capes! Nothing! Thanks for the project, Michael!

Mason and Mommy

Mason is going to be a great big brother. He is going to help his Mommy and be a real helper. Molly and Mason were posing for Grandma in Fallen Leaf Lake campground. So cute!

I got it!

Mason is helping his daddy with the tent. He wanted to carry it to the car... he didn't want any help. He had to drag it part of the way. He was very persistent... soooooo cute!

Scott decided to go swim in Fallen Leaf Lake and swim to the old rock Mike and Scott used to swim to when they were little kids... it was around 5:00 p.m. and pretty cool in the water... so Scott went out and before any of us knew it Mason was following right into the water up to his waist, and he was fully dressed in his shoes and all... he was just following his Daddy... so Daddy (Scott) undressed him and took him in for a short cold dip... Mason was not going to miss this swim with his daddy!

Mason was watching a squirrel in the firepit... he sat there for about 10 minutes trying to shoo it away, but sitting very still the whole time. I called his name and this is the shot I got when he looked to see Grandma!

Scott, Molly and Mason visit us at Tahoe

Scott, Molly and Mason surprised us by coming up to Fallen Leaf Campground for the weekend while we were there. We had a fun time with them and Mason showed us what a great helper and good camper he is! His favorite phrase was "I got it" when he was doing something and we tried to help... he was very capable and ... he had it covered... didn't need any help! What a cutie. I don't get as many photo shoot opportunities with Mason as the other grandkids so maybe that's why I took more than 100 shots! Here are a few!
