Grandma and Grandpa LOVE Mason!

We had a great visit with Scott, Molly and Mason! Even though their allergies were acting up, we had their undivided attention and visited for two days straight. Mason is so full of life and so bright! He is always looking for something fun to do and I was lucky because I got to do some of his little adventures with him. We went outside and he showed me how his battery-operated car worked. We played disc frisbee and he has quite an arm for throwing that thing. A few times I was the target I think. We would swing on his two-person swing and that was fun. His two dogs really obey and when he tells them to sit, they sit! He helped Grandpa wash his car and we took a little walk to the Fire Station and got an ice cream on the way. We sat on the curb and he ate his "Push-Up" ice cream. He loved showing Grandpa and I his dinosaurs, cars, and toys in his room and he loves reading books so we did plenty of that. I got to help him take his bath both nights we were there and he played with a little teapot in the tub and had lots of fun. Mason is very cuddly and gives good (wet) kisses. He was a perfect gentleman when we went out to dinner. He strung black olives on a straw after he was done eating and seemed to enjoy this craft! We are blessed to have Mason and wish we lived closer so we could see him oftener. In October he'll have the privilege of being called a "big brother" to a little brother or sister... we don't know which yet. Life is good to us!

Emily's so sweet!

Emily is such a little lady. She is so feminine and is a real girly girl. After being hit with a flying softdart her mommy was comforted by Emily running over to her and saying, "are you okay?" She also was quick to give a big hug to Aiden when he fell off a chair. She is a little nurturer and we love her a lot!

Aiden's almost 4!

We celebrated Aiden's 4th birthday a little early this year at our house since we'll be gone on his real birthday. Aiden and Emily got to decorate the cake when they came over to Grandma and Grandpa's house. Grandpa supplied the cake topper, (a ceramic rattlesnake purchased on our recent trip to Arizona) and Aiden and Emily stuck the M&M's all over the cake (licking their finger between applications to get the frosting off). They topped it off with two little windmill toys and they were very pleased with the results. It's all in the eyes of the beholder! They went swimming and played with squirt toys and had fun opening presents. It was all good! Happy Birthday dear Aiden! xoxox

Twenty two years ago (when Laura was a little girl) I bought this doll house at a garage sale... it included many nice little pieces of furniture. Laura had it in her room for about a year and then lost interest in it so I packed it away and put it in the rafters. I can't tell you how many times Paul almost tossed this when we were cleaning out the garage over the years. I was unrelenting in my need to keep it "for my grandkids" and I won out. I just took it out of the rafters and dusted it off and polished up the furniture. Now when Emily and Aiden come over they go straight for the dollhouse and try to cram every piece of furniture in the small rooms. I usually have to straighten it up when they leave and take out half of the furniture but know when they come again it will get jam-packed again with ALL the fun doll furnishings.

Mike, Laura, Aiden, Emily and Grandma and Grandpa went to Agua Caliente County Park in San Diego in April (2008) and camped for two nights. We swam, had barbeques, took little walks, had smores and hiked on the big rocky mountain. Lots of fun!

Emily and Grandpa having fun (again)... Emily is a real cuddler and loves blankets and getting cozy... she's all ready for bed here and it looks like she's had a fun day.

Maddie and Aiden busy at "work" (which is their play) at Grandma's house. They were so cute playing together side by side and doing their own things.

Maddie, my question to you is this: What does it feel like to be adored and loved by so many people? You are such a cutie pie that people can't help but want to squeeze and hug you... I know of two "Grandmas" who live for the times when they can get their hands on you and get some cuddles.

Maddie's first professional haircut (her mommy had done some cutting before but this was the real thing)... she sat in a little car and watched cartoons as the beautician snipped away... she was perfect and didn't get scared or move too much... she ended up with a darling haircut with cute bangs... the lady then proceeded to sprinkle glitter across the top her Maddie's hair... a nearby patron told Laura, "it'll take three hair washings to get that stuff out!"..... but she looked like a little star and loved her first haircut experience.

Happy Mother's Day to the sweetest mother ever... Laura is such a loving and caring mommy and Maddie is a lucky little girl to have such a doting mom! We had fun at San Diego Zoo... We walked about 8 miles that day from the zoo to downtown to eat at Philippes Italian Restaurant and then back to the car parked by the zoo... everyone slept well that night!

We went to Pink's in Hollywood to try their famous hot dogs... weren't very impressed but we still had fun. Here is the proof that the Warner family did, in fact, experience Pink's.

I bought a new dolly and made some bedding... Maddie and Emily both love to put the doll to bed and cover her up... Maddie fit just perfectly inside the doll bed and here she's feeding the doll a pacifier...

We had fun with Maddie, Laura and Shawn as they spent a few days with us recently. We walked to the Hollywood sign and ate at Pinks and played. This pic is before Maddie was walking on her own... cute little jeans!
