Paul's Christmas singing santa is a big hit every year. The kids get a kick out of the toe-stomping, strumming and singing Santa and love putting their fingers in his mouth. Emily was a little afraid of it at first and didn't want to activate the button but soon was pushing it again and again... and again.

Christmas Joys

Aiden and Emily were watching Rhonda's grandkids chase each other as we spent a wonderful Christmas Eve at Rhonda's house this year. Lots of fun!

Tired Grandkids

After playing all afternoon they were ready to settle down and watch "Grinch" but within ten minutes they were "out"!!! Nothing better than a warm bed, soft pillows and a fire in the fireplace (and full tummies) to put grandkids to sleep!

Almost Christmas with Emily & Aiden

Aiden and Emily visited Grandma and Grandpa's house and went right back to the doll house and sat down "to work". They love emptying all the furniture and then "redecorating". They play so nicely together and it's so fun to watch.

Merry Christmas 2008

Our Christmas tree always looks the same and it's not even fake... I didn't even have to cut off the top this year... scaled down a foot or two. I love Christmas!

Baby Paxton Sage Grigoruk

Here is the newest little Grigoruk! He is a little doll and absolutely the best baby! He is growing and thriving and giving us all something to smile about. Just a little bit of heaven for us to love!

Fun in Irvine Park!

Going to Irvine Park during Thanksgiving weekend was so much fun. We all rode the train and the kids rode the horses and fed the ducks and went to the petting zoo... it was just a perfect little day and the kids loved it. I got to carry Paxton on my chest in the Snuggly carrier... life doesn't get much better than that.

A Very Happy Thanksgiving!

We were so excited to realize we would have all our family home for Thanksgiving... Scott and Molly and Mason and baby Paxton came after a two-week wait for medical tests to come in and his tests came back perfectly so it was, for me, the main thing to be thankful for this year. Laura and Shawn and Maddie (and yet to be born Mia) came and spent some fun days with us and all together we had a wonderful holiday. Michael and Laura and Aiden and Emily joined with us in welcoming all our far-away kids home. Life is good!

Two Cuties

Aiden and Emily went to McDonald's with Grandma and then played on the playground equipment... they played HARD for about an hour... needless to say, they went right down for their nap. Thank you, McDonald's.

Halloween AND a new baby!

I spent the week up with Scott and Molly and Mason and Paxton and had lots of fun. There is nothing better than having a 3 year old and a newborn in the same house! Mason was a Froggy for Halloween! So cute.

Paxton Sage Grigoruk has arrived

Paxton Sage Grigoruk arrived on October 22nd and was 6 lb. 8 oz. and 19 inches long. He is a beautiful and sweet baby and his big brother Mason has adapted to the change in family status perfectly! Mama Molly is back on her feet and has her work cut out for her but is loving having two sons. Scott is proud of his newest member of his family and is going to have lots of fun with those handsome boys! Here are some pictures...

Toothy Grins

Halloween is coming and Laura and Shawn gave Paul some new sets of teeth... so the kids got ahold of them and this is the result... they're even cute when they're not trying to be!

Three Years Old

Grandma, Aiden and Emily

Oct. 2008 Happy Birthday Emily!

Tieras Make you Taller!

Emily loved her new stroller but surprisingly so did all the little boys at the party... they all were strolling around the different push toy strollers, probably because they didn't have those at home... something novel!

Birthday girl Emily!

Birthday Cake!

A darling birthday cake for a darling three-year-old. Laura outdid herself again!!!

Emily Turns 3

Little Emily celebrated her 3rd birthday with a Princess Party (given by Queen Laura and King Michael) and attended by Prince Aiden and many little friends. She was the perfect little birthday girl, just playing with the other kids and strolling around with her new doll stroller. There was Pin the Tail on the Donkey and Musical Chairs games and a bounce house and bubbles and hamburgers and of course, a wonderful cake (made by the Queen)... I can't believe it's been three years since we welcomed Emily. She's been a blessing to all who know her. Happy Birthday, Emily!

My Baby Laura

Was going through some pictures I have and came across this cutie. Laura spent many of her vacations in Mexico when she was little. This was in San Felipe and she was having lots of fun at the pool at the campground we stayed at. She was quite a little trooper, putting up with firecrackers popping all around and big brothers who let her follow them around the beachfront campground. Her first trip to this campground was when she was only 6 weeks old. In this picture she's around one year old.

Mystery Hand

Maddie's little hand was looking for something... I was sitting outside the tent reading and just happened to look up and see this little sweet hand trying to get out I guess... what a cutie! (Yes, I'm in love).

Smokey the Bear

Smokey wouldn't be happy with Maddie "playing with matches"... but she was being supervised... by her daddy!

Grand Canyon Fun September 2008

More pictures from our Grand Canyon!

Grand Canyon Fun!

We met Shawn, Laura and Maddie at the Grand Canyon and then Paul and Shawn hiked down to the bottom and spent the night and came back up the next morning. Quite a hike! We had a wonderful time (spending about 5 days with them)... Maddie was the star of the show! Fun times!

It's a.......

GIRL!!!!! Laura is feeling great and is excited (as is Shawn) that they're having another little girl. Little Maddie will be a big sister. Yippee!

What's it going to be?

We are anxiously awaiting Sept. 3rd to find out if Maddie is going to have a brother or sister. The fact of the matter is, whether it's a boy or a girl this new little baby doesn't have any idea of how lucky he/she is to be getting such a special family! Sept. 3rd is a big day for Molly, too, as she gets a closer idea of when she will have their new little boy. Needless to say, I will be anxious to talk to both Laura and Molly!

A Mama Bear and Two Cubs

Mike and Laura and kids saw five bears while in Tahoe. These two cubs were following a big mama bear. They saw bears at 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.... during the day you're pretty lucky to see a bear and get pictures. We hear them roaming around in the night when it's dark but the kids hit the jackpot in seeing them AND getting pictures... keep going for more pictures of cute kids AND bears!

Emily 2008

This sweet little face belongs to our Emily! She's starting dancing classes soon and tomorrow 9/2/08 she begins her second year of preschool with a new teacher. She's such a happy girl!

Aiden in Tahoe

Four year old Aiden on a ferry ride on Lake Tahoe. August 2008.

Mike, Laura, Aiden and Emily

This is one of my favorite little families (I have three favorite families in my life)... They have lots of fun together and have recently been doing a lot of camping in some of the same spots we used to take the kids when they were younger. They really get around! Aiden and Emily love camping with their mom and dad!

BEARS!

Mike, Laura, Aiden and Emily vacationed in Tahoe last week and were treated to some bear sightings. The pictures speak for themselves... They called me from Tahoe and when their Daddy prompted them to tell Grandma what they saw, they said they saw a cow. Apparently the cow they saw made more of an impact than the incredible bears... after more prompting they said they saw a bear, too.

Is this not a winning smile!

Maddie is doing so many new things.  She makes lots of animal sounds (on command), throws trash into the trashcan (on command), gives hugs to die for (on command), and steals the show when we walk through the mall... people stop and think she's a doll (and she is)... to say the least, she is multi-talented!!!!  If you can't tell by the above, I am a very proud grandma!

Beach Babies!

Laura & Maddie visit Grandma in YL

Laura and Maddie flew in to Long Beach around Aug. 1st and spent a week in Yorba Linda and then Drove home with me to St. George where we spent another few days having fun!  Here are a few pics of some of the fun we had.

Antique Store Find!

When Paul and I were in Tahoe we stopped at an antique shop and I found this 1950's bassinette. I knew my little granddaughters would love playing with it. Emily promptly got into the little bed and Aiden made her cozy and she didn't want to get out. She is very feminine and a real doll lover. I hear she takes her doll to preschool and leaves it sleeping in her cubby while she's at preschool. What a cutie. Anyway, this baby bed will get lots of use.

Grandma Capes

Michael told me Aiden was having fun playing with capes (one of Emily's little aprons for a cape) and wondered if Grandma would make a new cape for him... what fun to have a project! When they came over there were two little colorful capes, one with lizards and one with princess crowns... they attached the little capes and were having fun with the "secret pocket" on the inside of each cape... there is NOTHING better than being given a sewing assignment by your son to make his two darling children play capes! Nothing! Thanks for the project, Michael!

Mason and Mommy

Mason is going to be a great big brother. He is going to help his Mommy and be a real helper. Molly and Mason were posing for Grandma in Fallen Leaf Lake campground. So cute!

I got it!

Mason is helping his daddy with the tent. He wanted to carry it to the car... he didn't want any help. He had to drag it part of the way. He was very persistent... soooooo cute!

Scott decided to go swim in Fallen Leaf Lake and swim to the old rock Mike and Scott used to swim to when they were little kids... it was around 5:00 p.m. and pretty cool in the water... so Scott went out and before any of us knew it Mason was following right into the water up to his waist, and he was fully dressed in his shoes and all... he was just following his Daddy... so Daddy (Scott) undressed him and took him in for a short cold dip... Mason was not going to miss this swim with his daddy!
